Look closely: Can you see the runners in the foliage? To participate in Boston’s most iconic race, the first woman to run it had to hide out to join in. And to kick this lightweight jacquard jacket back to 1966the year it all went downwe added old-school touches like an exposed zipper, elongated collar and crinkle texture.

The jacket’s landscape print draws from New England in the spring and celebrates the first woman to cross the finish line of one of the region’s most iconic races. She had to sneak in to run it, waiting in the bushes by the starting line ahead of the race. Not only did she have to overcome 26.2 miles, but other participants trying to drag her off the course all along the way.
